Paraphrasing with “Harmful Myth of Asian Superiority”

Paraphrase the following quotes from Ronald Takaki’s essay. (Re-write them in your own words).

A) “For all their hard work and long hours, most Korean shopkeepers do not actually earn very much: $17, 000.00 to $35, 000.00 a year, usually representing the income from the labor of an entire family.”

B) “Most Asian Americans know their ‘success’ is largely a myth.”

    A. For majority groups of Korean shopkeepers in America, they don’t earn a reasonable income throughout the whole year, which only $17,000. 00 to $35,000.00. Even though they work hard and work for long hours, the entire family being in labor were making the same amount for their annual income.

    A. Most Korean shop keepers don’t earn a lot of money in a year for lack of responsibility from the people who they work for. Working long hours and work hard and the money they win all year is the labor of the entire family is a little bit depending on how many people live in the home.

    B. Most Asian American know that the myth of being a success is not true at all and know that it may be hard for them to reach to that level of not being a myth anymore.
