When I first heard the news that Donald Trump was running in the 2016 presidential election, I truly believed it was a joke, but as this election progresses, it has become all too serious. This election is interesting to me realize how much hate and racism that has been suppressed in the United States since the 1960’s.
Everything that Trump has to stand for has been truly negative, hurtful, and dehumanizing for the minority groups, prominently Mexicans and Muslims. These racist and xenophobic acts has been influencing Trumps followers to act out violently, and when Trump is confronted about the issue he denies even acknowledging it, for example, during a phone interview, Trump was asked if he encouraged violence, he replied “Well, I certainly don’t encite violence and I don’t even talk about violence.” However, during the rally in Ohio, a protester was sucker punched in the head by a Trump supporter and Trump responded to it by saying “Maybe he should have been, he should have been roughed up.” I think this is very contradicting and it worries me because I thought that we were progressing as a country beyond the hate and violence in America that we have struggling with for centuries, it feels like we have been set back for us. People who support Trump are supporting violence and are okay with the lies Trump spreads, and goes along with his oblivious persona to what he stirring up in our country. Trump is a bully that does not deserve anymore time in the spotlight.

Who votes for this guy? People full of hate, and who can’t accept something different. Trump is allowing, condoning, enforcing violence at protesters and he’s saying he doesn’t? I can’t wait for the day, where all this hate he is spewing and that is causing uproars at his rallies and around the US to come at him and sit him down. How is this man running for president, he went bankrupt like 2 times, he’s sexist, racist, and disgusting, and someone who brings shame to the Republican party. That’s what some of the Republic members have said, and they’re still voting for him. Donald Trump doesn’t want to help the people who need help, he’s a business man and would only look out for big business owners and the rich.
Security is tightening around Trump for good reason, he’s gonna get hurt. With all this hate and violence going around at his rallies, that he’s willing to pay any legal fees for anyone who does something violent to a protester. In a rally he even said he’d like to punch a man in the face. In the get ’em out article, it informs us that Trump has spent $170,000 plus and still rising on security, because so many people hate him. I know I hate him, he’s not fit to be president, and shouldn’t be running. “While Mr.Trump complains that protesters are violating his First Amendment rights, many of his critics are wondering about their own ability to speak out.” You can’t pay me enough to call him Mr.Trump, he’s always shutting down and stopping people’s first Amendments to speak out against him, like at the campaign event held at Valdosta State University in Georgia when several black students didn’t understand why they were kicked out. There’s no way this man can win right? The people they call the “minorities” are the “majority”!

    Revised Response
From both reading the New York Times article viewing the video where a random adult tries to rush Trump on stage at a rally in Ohio. From this type of evidence, I’m not all that surprise about why normal people really dislike Trump running for President.
Many news sources have discussed how Trump is a racist bigot who wants to become President to force his ludicrous policies and ideals to shape America in his own image. In many normal people’s minds that spells only a disaster not just for American people but for other countries as well. I do understand why people want to vote for him but these uneducated people are just getting blindsided by Trumps candy-coated words and the fact he says during his rallies that he’s a racist. In the past before this horror that is Trump running for President, Trump’s catchphrase use to be “You’re Fired” but now it has become “Get’em Out”. Trump uses this phrase to have protesters removed from his rallies notify people of color. For example “At a Trump campaign event held at Valdosta State University in Georgia last month, several Black students complained to the police that they did not understand why they were kicked out”.
While Trump has First Amendment rights to say what he wants too, but so does everybody else who attends a rally. Both the Republican Party and people who are still going to vote for Trump are not thinking about the long term affect this will damage the U.S. with his idiotic polices. There are even some members of the Republican Party who have said “He’s an embarrassment” and when ask if they trust Trump with nuclear codes they’re answer was “I don’t know”. From this even the Republican Party doesn’t like him either. Everything that Obama has fixed from what Bush messed up will be all for naught and not just the people of America will be hurt but the rest of the world will to be hurt from this election. I really dislike politics manly it’s all a popularity contest and the fact that most of the system helps the 1% and not the real backbone of the country.

I don’t understand how it’s possible to run for President of the United States but be openly racist. To me it’s another Adolf Hitler reincarnated. They both made a promise “To make their countries great again” but only have plans to use racism for power. It saddens me that America has come so far with racism by having its first black President to now almost having a racist as president. Trump says that “He doesn’t condone violence at his rallies”. Then turns around and says “Protesters have it too good, in the old days they use to leave on a stretcher”. He then says “Just knock the crap out of them, I promise you I will pay your legal fees.” Now what kind of non-violence President says that? In Louisville KY, a black woman protester was kicked out by Trump himself by saying over his microphone “Get Out” while white men and woman from his rally pushed and shoved her until she finally left. I just think if the races of these people were switched would it be the same outcome? Most supporters of Trump that have taken part in the harassment of the protesters are getting arrested and some are even losing their jobs.
Trump does have some supporters of color; In Illinois Trump invited a Hispanic supporter on stage to say a few words but says as a warning to anyone thinking about harming him “He knows if he makes a move, he’s going to get clobbered by these guys”. Then why even invite him on stage as a supporter, I would’ve definitely been offended. Trump even has fellow republican runner Ben Carson endorsing him now. Carson gave his opinion on the violence at the Trump rallies “The blame is on the agitators; we have to fight back; the real corporates here are the people who are trying to suppress the First Amendment Rights of their fellow Americans”. Trump says that protesters are violating his First Amendment rights, but not just protesters. Trump posted on his twitter “The organized group of people, many of them thugs, who shut down our First Amendment rights in Chicago, have totally energized America”!
Trump has caused so much controversy with the things he has said & done since he started running for the President of the United States of America. It makes me question if this country will ever come together as one despite our races and backgrounds. I hope that people of color and non-bias individuals take the initiative to vote in order to keep a racist out of office.
